Homes in the Winnie Care Group are either residential or residential AND nursing. In addition, most offer respite care.
If you are no longer able to look after yourself at home - getting up and down the stairs, cooking, washing, dressing, for example - then a residential home may be able to help. Residents usually have their own room and all meals are included. Communal living rooms and outdoor garden areas provide an opportunity to chat with friends. Residential homes provide personal care but if you also require nursing care then a residential/nursing home would be a better choice. Nursing homes provide everything that residential homes do and they also have qualified nurses available 24 hours a day.
Depending on the availability of rooms, most homes offer care on a short-term respite basis. If your carer needs to take a break for a couple of weeks, you may like to think about staying in one of our homes while they are away.
